Getting too Bulky from Lifting Weights

Question: I am a 32 year old female. I strength train with a trainer twice a week and run 3 to 5 miles three times a week. I eat low-fat and weigh around 125 pounds. My problem is, ever since I began working out with the trainer my pants don't fit anymore because my quads and butt are bigger. Also my shoulders and back have outgrown many cocktail dresses. I feel great and really strong, but I am getting more and more depressed every morning when I get dressed. Please Help! lrtr

Answer: Lrtr, On your strength training days, I would cut back to 50 to 60% of your one-rep max for 20 to 30 reps. Try cutting back to one day a week on weights just to see what results. Also, add another run per week to focus more on losing size while keeping strength and shape.
