Losing Weight after Having a Baby

Question: I just found your website. I'm 4'11" and weigh 140 lbs. I need to lose weight. I just had a baby 10 months ago. It has been so hard to lose the weight after the baby that I don't know what to do. The area that needs most work is my stomach and hips. HELP!!! Helpless Hilda

Answer: Dear Hilda, Here are the two main components you need to address: 1. Healthy eating. I would recommend finding a Weight Watchers meeting in your area. I have found it to be the easiest and best way to learn how to change your eating habits forever. 2. Cardiovascular exercise. Consistency is key. Read the articles on my site for ideas and motivation. Get a babyjogger so it can be fun for both you and your baby. Strength training will make your results quicker and help in reshaping your body, but the above two are the most important to address because of your time restriction with raising a baby.
