|Onion Rings (non-greasy formula) Appetizers
1 ½ cups smashed cornflakes
½ teaspoon paprika
dash red pepper
2 teaspoons sugar
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teaspoon seasoned salt (Lawry’s is best)
2 large Vidalia onions
½ cup egg substitute
In a big bowl, stir the first six ingredients together and scoot it over until later on.
Next, slice and separate onions into ½ inch rings. In a cereal bowl, beat egg substitute until light and bubbly, then toss each ring in one at a time. Flop it around in the crumb mixture until it’s coated completely.
Line ‘em up rank and file single layer on baking sheets covered lightly in non-stick cooking spray. Bake at
400 degrees for 114-21 minutes or until onions are cooked, slightly browned and coating is crispy.
Serves about 5 moderately hungry women. (Serves about 2 hungry men).
