Should I Skip Workout if My Muscles are Sore

Question: I have been walking 45 min (3 miles) 5 days per week since the first of the year. Two weeks ago I added another 30 minutes session with my husband. Two days ago a friend talked me into taking a toning class with her. After the class I could tell my legs really got a work out, but I was in no pain. Yesterday the muscle on the front of my thighs hurt a lot so I took it easy and did not work out. Today the pain is a little better, but I am still having a hard time going up and down the stairs in my house. I really don't want to waste another day. I had finally dropped a pound and don't want to put it back on. Should I skip my workouts until the pain is totally gone, or just do at a slower pace?

Answer: Your legs are just sore from the workout you did with your friend. Your pain will probably go away soon, and it won't damage you to continue your walks. Your soreness will probably even be gone by the time this gets posted.
