Start a Personal Training Business at Home

Question: If you work for a facility rather than having your own home gym- don't you lose a lot of your profit. How does this work if you DON'T want to work for a gym? Janine

Answer: You're right. You CAN lose a lot of money working for a gym, especially if they don't provide the referrals they should be providing as your employer. You could do a few different things:

- Trainers who aren't employed by gyms can either rent space in a gym (usually a per-client fee)if you can find a gym that will do this.

- Only train in-home clients.

- Work outdoors or in alternative locations with equipment you provide.
